A Great Success right from the Start

The legendary "Wochenshow" (The "This Week Show") was a sketch show on Sat.1, whose 220 episodes were originally broadcast between 1996 and 2002. As well as dealing with current events, the show concentrated on satirising celebrity bloopers. In addition, the comedians presented a variety of sketches and parodies on various television shows and advertising spots.

With new comedians, new parodies, new sketches and an old hand as the host, “Die Wochenshow – Die witzigsten Nachrichten der Welt” (The Weekly Show – The Funniest News in the World) returned to the screens in 2011. In May, anchorman and comedian Ingolf Lück, who starred in the original line-up of the “Wochenshow”, once again greeted viewers on Friday evenings.
